Prenup on the Rush!

Eleven days - number of days left before our long awaited wedding and yet we still had nothing for our prenup. No concept, no final ideas, no place to shoot, and worst of all, no budget for decent clothes to please the prenup cam :(

Slim-type Chuck Taylor All Star shoes
What's ironic though is that long before I proposed to Beng, she was already a crazy wedding lurker who, having read almost all wedding ideas, must be better off than a web crawler itself  O_o? Ask her anything about this place and that, about this videographer and that, anything about weddings and she'll give you quick answers stuffed with full details. :) But what have we when asked "Anong concept ng prenup natin?" We answer ourselves with blank faces :| ... a moment of deafening silence... a bit of constipated laughter, small talks of our stupidities as a form of diversion to relieve stress then LOL again like we're losing our sanity (^^,).

Got our issue addressed when one day, on our way to Divisoria to claim the entourage's wardrobe, we passed by 168 Mall for some shelter for it was raining heavily. We eventually got tempted to roam around and see if we could fetch some ideas out of the surprisingly wide variation of stylish and affordable clothes the mall has to offer.  We ended up getting a pair of not-so-cool couple shirts but would definitely serve its purpose :) .  We really tried hard convincing ourselves and were uncertain whether it'll turn out good until we realized, that after all Dewn Rivera is gonna be our photographer! ;p

I love HIM/HER couple shirts
BTW, Dewn Rivera is my ex-officemate and one of my closest friends at Chikka Philippines.  He's by far, one of the most skilled and talented photographers I've ever met and is starting to make big in this field shooting famous models and showbiz personalities.  And oh, I somewhat hate him...T_T  why? I'm a poor aspiring "photographer-wanna-be" and he makes me realize how far the difference of our skills are  whenever I look at his works... And when I do I'm like "woah!", "wow!", "O.O", " =p~ ", I hope you do imagine what I  mean. You can also see most of his works HERE ...

" Throw in a pair of slim fit jeans and a pair of white slim-type chucks and that should nail the first set of prenup!!! " We thought so... And we think it did... :)  "Nasa nagdadala naman yan (wahehehe) at sa kumukuha ...  " - Beng.  ( I could not disagree, for some reason, coz I knew for a fact that anything she says always makes sense and sadly, I only get to realize 'em when it's almost too late. Perhaps only guys could relate )

The night before, I had a chat with Dewn and he had the idea of shooting it at "Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife" at Diliman, Quezon City.  I've been there once. It's a nice wide greeny place and yes, the waters are green too... :) I didn't get to appreciate the place that much until we had the pictorial.  Google it and you'll see how beautiful the place is.  Also, you only have to pay a very affordable entrance fee of Php 10.00 per head.  People usually get there to have a picnic, kids to see wild animals, and couples for prenup pictorials.

I love the natural color of her hair (^^,)

Going back, Beng thought we'd also need some semi-formal attire for the second set. We got a simple yet elegant looking Korean dress for her, and just a retro short-sleeve polo for me.  Had no budget left for shoes, so we thought the slim-type chucks would do it too... However, my polo won't match her dress. I said "What the hell?" And so beng tells me her "pamatay" line again - "Nasa nagdadala naman yan (wahehehe) at sa kumukuha ...  " < I saw her teeth shine  "Chinggg!!!" > (--,)

And so what I had left in my pocket was just an old Php 100.00 bill. Somehow we were untiringly still searching for some accessories we could find to spice up the shoot. After painstakingly walking around for more or less an hour... Lo and Behold!!! She saw these humble mini umbrellas hanging by the boutique's front clothesline as if they were waving to us "yo, buy us!" (^^,) This may seem like a commonplace to most but what we had in mind back then was how cute the effect would be when used as an accessory. Look at the picture below just don't mind the gestures... You tell me... :)

A pair of mini umbrellas worth Php 60.00
Bottomline, if you're on your way to marriage and are planning to add up a prenuptial pictorial in your tight budget,  better plan ahead of time. You don't wanna rush things up and just wear whatever is available, unless you are too beautiful for the camera. There's not a problem with my wife coz she's undoubtedly beautiful, "kumusta naman ako? mukhang addict lang... hehehe..."

Don't forget to choose a really chummy and skillful photographer so you can do whatever crazy post to your heart's content. :) The photoshoot we had that time was really fun! Beng and I may have had a plan that sucked, but hey, it pays off well when you show your real selves in front of the camera and when the one behind it knows how to play the game! (^^,)
